The Bloor-Danforth line runs underneath or near the streets that it is named for. Trains run east-west. Most of the line is underground except on the extreme east and west ends. The first section of line opened in the 1960's.
Transfers with the Yonge-University-Spadina line are at Spadina (long walk), St. George and Yonge. There are also streetcar interchanges at Dundas West, Bathurst, Spadina (underground), Broadview and Main Street. One last interchange is with the Scarborough RT at Kennedy.
