Toronto has a great Subway system. Currently there are two lines. In September 2002 the new Sheppard Line opened in the northern suburbs. The Yonge Subway was the first subway to open in all of Canada!
Trains run frequently throughout the day and are very clean. The two lines are joined together downtown via an abandoned lower level Bay station, as well as at St. George.
There are currently talks to extend the Spadina line northward, and converting the Scarbourgh ICTS line to subway
