The SBRR connects the NY Subway with the mainline railroads, it is operated by the MTA. The South Brooklyn RR at one time connected the 39th St. yards with Coney Island Yards via street trackage under the McDonald Ave. El. It had a connection with the LIRR at Parkville (Ave. I). The tracks are now all paved over. This was the neighborhood where I grew up. The older photos were taken by my Dad in the 1970's.
