US East Transit > Philadelphia > Subways & El's > Market-Frankford El
46th Street

The El

This station is the first Elevated station coming out of Philadelphia. The 44th St Portal is just east of the station. Before the El reconstruction there was evidence of the Elevated continuing towards center city. The subway was extended from near the current 19th street subway-surface station to 40 Street in the 1950's
