US East Transit > Philadelphia > Subways & El's > Broad St Subway
Walnut-Locust

Philly's Subway

This station opened in 1930, 2 years after the BSS opened. It was the southern terminal until the Snyder Ave extension opened in 1938. It is 4 track station. All express trains from Fern Rock terminate here. South of this station the BSS becomes a 2-track line. The is a rather long and huge passenger mezzanine that runs for many blocks under Broad St.

Transfers are available to PATCO's 12-13 & 15-16 St Stations.
