This junction a fun to watch Madison cars come off the Madison Line to head north on Main and in reverse. The Madison double-track ends one block east of Main St. Due to the tight curves this single track splits and connects with the southbound Main St track (west track) in both directions. There are crossovers on either side of this junction on Main st to put cars on their correct tracks. All the switches here are spring loaded in such a way that cars can flow thru the junction without manually throwing switches. There is no signal protection for this junction other then a normal traffic light. This is a fun trolley watching spot!
