US East Transit > Boston > Light Rail Lines
E: Heath Street

Boston Subway

The E-Line to Heath Street is commonly known as the Arborway branch. This line branches off of the mainline portion of the subway after Copley. It then runs in its own subway for two more stops before rising to the surface at Symphony. There it runs in the middle of Huntington Ave. The line currently terminates at Heath Street. Track continues on in the street up to the Forest Hills station of the Orange Line. Revenue service on this portion ended in the 1980's. There has been an ongoing fight to restore service ever since.
