Busy transfer point in upper Manhattan between the
IRT and IND. The Bdwy/7th Ave IRT local is deep underground at this point
requiring elevator access. The IND station is 4 tracks. The outer tracks
are the "express" with that continue north to Inwood. The inner two tracks
are the terminal tracks for the 8th Ave. local. Just north of this station
is a small underground storage yard.
