One time there was trolley service and freight service under the El. Here at Ave I a branch broke off to head to the LIRR Bay Ridge Branch which is still in use as a freight line. The Bay Ridge line runs in an open cut just north of Ave I. Boyhood neighborhood of the webmaster. ShopRite supermarket in what was the Ave. I Flea Market and before that a Ford dealership
