Point of Interest

The South Chicago branch leaves the mainline south of the 63rd St station.  The junction is a fly-under so there is no cross train traffic here. This line runs down the middle of busy streets before ending at 93rd St. I could see this line being more a Light Rail line than a commuter electric. I understand at one time this line has trains every 10 minutes.
