METRA

The Rock Island District trains operate out of LaSalle Station on the southern end of the Loop. The RI has two routes between Gresham and Blue Island. The Suburban service makes local stops in the Beverly area. Express trains use a bypass line. At Vermont St in Blue Island the METRA Electric Blue Island branch is just across the street. The RI continues on to Joliet. Heritage Corridor trains also serve Joliet.
