Germany’s first Automated Metro

Nurmberg is Bavaria’s seconds city, but don’t tell Nurembergers that. VAG manages the system within and between Nuremberg and Furth, as well as other nearby suburbs. The region has a large tram network until the U-Bahn started to open. Today the tram network is slated to expand.

The U-Bahn consists of 3 lines, two being automated. Nuremberg is one of only a few cities that its U-Bahn or metro, connects the city to its airport.
