Location of the former Parkville Jct of the LIRR. McDonald Ave at one time (until 1980's) had RR track in place. One time there was trolley service and freight service under the El. Here at Ave I a branch broke off to head to the LIRR Bay Ridge Branch which is still in use as a freight line. The Bay Ridge line runs in an open cut just north of Ave I.

Boyhood neighborhood of the webmaster.  ShopRite supermarket in what was the Ave. I Flea Market and before that a Ford dealership

This brings back childhood memories of waiting for my Dad to come home from work, squinting to see him come down the platform stairs here at this station. (5/20/03)
