Vancouver Transit

BC Skytrain

Vancouver in BC has the automated SkyTrain system. It is a unique system that borders between heavy rail and light rail. It operates in a subway downtown. It cars use linear induction motors for propulsion. Train frequencies are high. The new Millennium line is now in operation.

A new line, dubbed the Canada line, opened in 2009. It links Richmond and the Airport to downtown and to Waterfront station. It does not have a physical rail connection to the Expo or Millennium lines as it uses different propulsion technology.

Choose which line you would like to visit.
