LIRR

Sunnyside is a very busy railroad location. The mouth of the tunnels to NY Penn Station are located here. LIRR, NJ Transit and Amtrak are all here. All have yards at this location. LIRR mainline, LIRR Port Washington Branch, LIRR Hunterspoint lines all converge, as well as Amtrak's line to the Hells Gate Bridge. To top it off the #7 subway crosses over the busy rail junction, with the N and W subway line nearby and the E, R & V subway lines are underground in the area. To top it off the NY&Atlantic Railroad maintains freight operations. All-in-all very busy!
