Chicago Commuters

The South Shore is often billed as the longest running Interurban line in the country. It is definitely the last remaining Chicago interurban from the Insull era. It runs out of the Randolph terminal shared with the METRA Electric. It share right-of-way with METRA until Kensington. There it breaks away to run into northern Indiana on its way to Gary, Michigan City and ending at the Airport in South Bend Indiana.
