Boston Subway

Each of the Boston heavy rail lines have a unique history. The Red Line, or Cambridge Subway connects Harvard with city center and the southern suburbs. The Orange Line used to be the Washington St. Elevated until it moved into the subway over 2 decades ago. The Blue line is a combination of an old trolley tunnel under the harbor mixed with an old steam RR right of way.
