Berlin

The S-Bahn in Germany is still in the midst of re-construction. Service is frequent and even rivals some subway systems. It utilizes third rail.

Most of the S-Bahn system within the city limits of Berlin is on an elevated structure. Many of the stations are located within brick structures to keep passengers out of the elements. (6/99)	One train is leaving an a newer class train is seen entering this station on the left. (6/99 video.)
Another S-Bahn train entering a station. This station is located in the old Wall area, and was recently reopened after many years of closure due to the wall. (6/99)	This former S-Bahn car is sitting at Tegel airport on a sidewalk. It is used for storage. Unlike Berlin's other 2 airports, Tegel is not served by any S-Bahn or U-Bahn train, but it does have a mock-up! (6/99)
