This station was originally called, Coliseum. After the Rose Garden Arena opened it was renamed, Rose Quarter. This station is separate from the Rose Quarter Interstate station on the Yellow Line. All together Rose Quarter has 5 tracks & 5 platforms, plus a major bus center. This station is always busy, but even busier before and after sporting events at the Rose Quarter arena.  At one time Westbound trains used the center track, then switched to the north track for service, but now they use the center track again, and the north track is rarely used.
