This 3 mile long tunnel connects downtown Portland with the western suburbs. A huge tunnel boring machine was used to carve out the twin tubes. There is one station, Washington Park. At 290 feet below the ground level entrance. It is the deepest transit station in North America. 4 elevators whisk passengers up to the surface so you may visit the Oregon Zoo, Forestry Center and the Children's Museum.
