Hamburg Hochbahn

Hamburg is a great city. It is home to one of the largest ports in the world. Hamburg has one of the best integrated transit systems that I have been to. The U-Bahn, S-Bahn and AKN networks provide easy timed transfers between trains and mode. The U-Bahn in Hamburg is also called Hochbahn meaning high train. A good portion of the system outside of downtown is elevated or on private right-of-way. The first line opened in 1912.
