Dresden

Dresden has a small S-Bahn system operated by German Railway (DB), under the management of DVB & VOO. There are 3 S-Bahn lines. All lines are electrified

S1 serves the basically follows the Elbe from the NW of the city at Meissen Triebischtal thru the city then to the Czech border at Schona.

S2 starts in the north at the Dresden Airport (from the only underground station in Saxony), thru the city, and joins the S1 but terminates at Pirna

S3 line starts from the south at Tharandt and ends at Dresden Hauptbahnhof
