Vienna, Austria Transit

Vienna

Vienna a great classic city. It is filled with life and culture, not to mention a great transit system. The Strassenbahn (or tram) system is one of the largest in the world. Trams simply go everywhere. The Metro system is a first class system. Some of which has roots in an express tram system (Stadtbahn) that goes back to the early 1900's. There is what is called in American parlance, an Interurban line, linking Vienna with Baden (Lokalbahn), and of course a suburban S-Bahn system.

Vienna is on a must visit list for any transit fan!
