Eizan Funiculars & Ropeway

There are tourist ropeways and funiculars around Kyoto. I have only been on the lines on Mount Hiei. First we took the Eizan light rail line to Yase, then a short walk to the Eizan Cable line.

The Eizan Cable is 1.3km ling with a vertical travel of 561m, with 2 stations. It is a counter-balanced funicular line with 2 cars. Once at the top, you take a shrot walk to transfer to the Eizan Ropeway that takes you further up the mountain
