Eizan Electric Railway

Eizan Line

The Eizan is a Interurban/Light Rail line that runs from the north east edge of Kyoto into the hills. Although it does seve locals, a good portion of its traffic is touist with links to cable lines up into the mountains. It is not as popular with foreign tourists as the line starts outside the Kyoto tourist area. It is not connected to the subway, but the Keihen Oto line underground terminal is here, as well a numerous bus ines.
