Powerhouse

This is an original H&M Power plant in Jersey City NJ. It has not been used in years. PATH still maintains a substation next to it. With the rapid development going on in the area, this building is subject to disappearing. There is movement to save it. For more information on its history, and the Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy, please visit their website at: http://www.jerseycityhistory.net

This is the southeast corner view (4/6/02)
East view, not sure what the pile of dirt is for (4/6/02)
North view (4/6/02) Southwest view (4/6/02)
West view, PATH substation in foreground, most of the windows are broken. (4/6/02) This newer view of the station shows a new paved parking lot (same as top right photo). There is increased pressure on development around this building, lets hope it survives. (4/05)
