Netherlands Transit > Amsterdam
Metro

Amsterdam

The Metro consists of 4 routes. 3 lines go to Centraal Station. 2 of those lines are full fledge metro routes. The third is more of a light rail line sharing trackage with a traditional tram line for part of it's length. The fourth route is just short of completing a metro ring around the city. It is completely grade separated, but it's equipment resembles a light rail line (with high platforms).

Amsterdam is opening new new north-south line in 2018 that is a seperate from the existing lines, but with tat Centraal Station and Zuid Station.
