Line T1

Paris Trams

This was Paris's first modern Light Rail, or tram line, opening in 1992. As originally conceived the city of Paris wanted to ring its periphery with trams to act as circulators and bridge the gaps in the metro system. T1 is the northern line. It proved very popular such that T2 and later T3 were built. As this tram is at the edge of town it is not used much by visitors, but heavily by Parisians. Most of the line run along in the center of streets.
