Monorails

Tokyo still has more forms of transit then traditional steel wheel on steel rails.

The 6 monorails in the Tokyo region serving different suburban cities. They are: Tokyo, Chiba City, Shonan (see Enoshima), Tama City, Tokyo Disneyland Resort, and the Ueno Zoo.  I have been on three of them. The most crowded would be the Tokyo Monorail which connects Haneda Airport with Tokyo. It is a straddle beam system that is very busy. The Tama line is also a straddle beam and connects suburban communities west of Tokyo. The Chiba monorail system is a suspended system.
