Arakawa Line

Arakawa Line

TOEI is run by the municipal government of Tokyo. At one time streetcars blanketed Tokyo. Now only the Arakawa line is left. This line survives as there is no better subway connection and most of the line is on private or segregated right-of-way. There is talk of extending the line to Ikebukuro.

The line has rebranded itself as the Sakura Tram due to the amount of cherry trees along the line
