Sydney is a world class city, well known
for its Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Did you know that the Opera
House sits on land that used to be a Tram Depot, and that trams crossed
over the Harbour Bridge? Tram service ended in 1958 with buses taking
over. Trams returned as light rail in the 1990's.
Sydney is also home to a larger commuter rail
network. Most of the line funnel into Central Station and use all or part
of the underground City Circle that opened between the 1920s-1958.
To round out Sydney has large ferry system that
connects many pointf othe the region to its Circular Quay hub. I love
Sydney!
