Points of Interest

Just north of this station the Green Line ducks under I-205 in a tunnel. This tunnel was built with I-205 was built in the early 1980's. I-205 was designed with a reserved space for a Busway that was never built. It was added for political reasons due the Mt Hood Freeway which was never built. This area was where the Mt Hood Freeway was to interchange with I-205. The Freeway was canceled, and funds transferred to built the original section of the MAX Blue line between Portland and Gresham. Seems only appropriate that The MAX Green Line uses this right-of-way today.
