WES

The yards/shops are located adjacent to the Wilsonville station. The trains are Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU), built by Colorado Railcar. The builder went out of business before WES opened. There are 3 power cars an 1 trailer. All 3 power cars are required to meet the schedule. Trains pass at Tigard station, and just north of Wilsonville station. The trailer is attached to one of the 3 trains running in service. In November 2009, Trimet purchased 2 RDC' from Alaska to allow for spares. Two additional RDC formerly from Trinity Railway Express in Dallas, Texas, were also purhased. But they hav enot been rebuilt to use on WES.

Engineers and conductors are provided by P&W Railroad under contract to Trimet. Conductors do NOT collect fares, but may spot check tickets.
