Line 6 is probably the best for a tourist to ride in Paris. Not only does this line have the closest stop to the Eiffel Tower, but is elevated a good portion of its route. This allows you to view the neighborhoods as you roll through the city. Line 6 makes up the southern portion of the loop with Line 2. When it opened it was actually called Line 2 sud.
