Singapore MRT

This is the first automated Light Rail system that is part of the MRT network. This line is the only line run by SMRT. It connects with the North-South line at Choa Chu Kang station. It run double track with a single track branch and a large double-track loop. The windows on these trains are unique in that they turn from transparent to translucent when the line gets too close to the apartment windows along the line. This allows for some privacy.

There are three services offered on this line. One that goes Clockwise around the loop then to Choa Chu Kang, another that goes counter-clockwise then to Choa Chu Kang, and the third one which does not operate full time that operates clockwise around the loop then to the branch to Ten Mile Junction station.
