Hakone Incline

This line can be called an incline or counter balance, but the Japanese call it a Cablecar. The line connects Gora with Sounzan. It is the link between the Hakone Tozen railway and the Hakone Ropeway.

It uses two cars hooked together via a single cable. There is a passing siding mid-way on the line. There a few stops between the top and bottom, of course all are equally spaced apart for the counter balance. The interior of the cars are stepped to maintain level. The overhead wire is for lighting and probably power for part of the braking systems.
