As of late 2007, Charlotte opened up the Blue Light Rail Line. Before the Blue Line, Charlotte had a heritage trolley line. In 2015 the CityLynx Gold opened using heritage trams that operated on the prior trolley line. This line transistioned to modern streetcars in 2021. The cars are very similar ot the light rail cars.
