This station has easy access from the I-5 freeway is a major bus transfer point for commuters from Washington. The station location is on a site of a worker, blue color, ethnic city that was destroyed when the Columbia River flooded many years ago. Just south of this station is a long viaduct, originally named Long Bridge but now called Vanport bridge to carry the line over the various slews, railroads and streets.
