This station was originally named Civic Stadium. After the stadium was remodeled & renamed PGE Park in 2001, the station was also renamed. in 2010 the Portland Beavers Minor League baseball was kicked out so the stadium could be remodeled again but this time for Major League Soccer. In 2011 the Portland Timbers started playing here after the stadium was renamed Jeld-Wen Field. Then the stadium was renamed again, and now is named Providence Park. Each time the MAX stations were renamed again!. Westbound has a separate station, 1 block north
