Yards The system maintains 2 depots. On at Queens Road and the other at Old Trafford.
Equipment Currently Metrolink uses 120 M5000 trams built by Bombardier and Vossloh Kiepe. They are based on Bombardiers Flexity Switft LRV's. The were built from 2009-2016. All are high floor cars with hight level platform boarding. These care replaced the oringal T68/T68A trams built in 1992 by AnsaldoBreda. Manchester also acquired 2 used San Fransisco Boeing LRV's in 2002. They were tested to see if they coul be run in Manachester for capacity expansion. It did not pan out.
