Points of Interest Originally opened as the East London Railway. The Metropolitan took it over in 1884. IT was part ofthe London Underground Newtork as the East London Line until 2007. Int 2012 the station reopened as part of the London Overground network. The station is at the southern portal of the Thames Tunnel. Trains use the 1843 tunnel. There is a small museum, Brunel Museum, a short wlak from theis station worth a visit. The MAyflower pub is also nearby, one of the oldest pubs in London.
