Lyon
Lyon currenty has two funiculars, both starting from Vieux Lyon with a  convenient connection for Lyon's Metro Line D.

One Funicular goes to Fourviere where the Basilica Notre Dame de Fourviere is location. It is mainly used by tourists.

The other line has two stops, one at Minimes by the Roman Theater and at the top at St. Just. This line is mainly used by locals.

Unfortunately, the Fourviere line was shutdown during my visit. But I did enjoy the St. Just line.
