Blue Line

The Blue line connecting LA and Long Beach has proven popular. It may help that it closely follows the only Red Car (Pacific Electric) Interurban route that closed in the early 1960's. This is LA most heavily traveled line. Once a transit corridor, always a transit corridor!

Recently they completed a platform lengthening project to allow for 3-car trains, which are now operated on some rush-hour trips.
