Points of Interest Originally opened as the East London Railway. The Metropolitan took it over in 1884. It was part ofthe London Underground Newtork as the East London Line until 2007. In 2012 the station reopened as part of the London Overground network. Tsi is the only station where the Overgound is below the Underground.Whitechapel area is famouse for "Jack the Ripper"
