Trams

Edinburgh had given up their trams in 1956, resorting to bus only transit.

In 2014 they opened a modern tram, or light rail, linking the city center with the Edinburgh Airport. It was to be part of a bigger tram network that may still come to pass.

The tram do have luggage racks, which is important coming from the airport. Unfortunately many tourist seem to take the express airport bus to the city. The buses load right in front of the airport terminal. The Tram requires a bit more of a walk. But seeing how people were crammed in the buses, I think the tram is better option, of course assuming your destination is a short walk from the tram stops in town.

Below are the stations feature on this website, only 4 of the 16 on the line.
