This airline up until the end of the 90's was mainly a charter operation. It then tried to become a national carrier out of Chicago. It main focus continues to be tourist traffic, with many flight to Hawaii.
The webmaster has never flown ATA but did have conversations with an ATA L-1011 crew on layover between charter flights in Catania, Italy.
