McDonnell- Douglas

McDonnell- Douglas has been absorbed by Boeing so DC and MD aircraft are no longer in production, but many planes still fly! (However the new Boeing 717 is a version of the MD-80/90 aircraft).

DC-3 (2) DC-8 (0) DC-9/MD80/90 (6)
DC-10 (2) MD-11 (1)
DC-3
The DC-3 is probably the world's most recognized passenger aircraft that ushered in a new era of air travel for the general public.

DC-9/MD-80/90
The DC-9 through MD-90 was a very popular line of aircraft. The MD80/90 are basically stretch versions of the original DC-9. The line continues today as the Boeing 717.

DC-10
The DC-10 is a large twin aisle three engine aircraft. It was as close as Douglas came to compete with the larger Boeing 747..

MD-11
The MD-11 was an improved version of the DC-10. The noticeable difference are the winglets on the end of the wings.
