In February 2001 the family traveled to London and had a great time. Details of this trip are on this website. This page provides visitors links to all the services we utilized over this trip, just in case they are interested to trying them out.

Website Name Description
Northwest Airlines The Airline that Mark has a lot of Frequent Flier miles with and is Platinum member.
The Albany Hotel This may be a slightly run down hotel, but the room we had was large and we spent around $100/night, a great rate for London.
Connex Railway This railway serves Gatwick Airport. They trains my not be the cleanest, but they do get you to Victoria Station about $3 cheaper and only 2 minutes longer.
Gatwick Express The non-stop train ride between Gatwick Airport and Victoria Station.
London Underground This is the fastest and cheapest way to get around London.
London Transport By a LT travelcard, it is cheaper and get you on the buses, underground and railways, just be sure to buy the proper amount of zones for your travel.
Frommers We used Frommers to figure out what we wanted to do prior to arriving in London.

Croydon Tramlink A new tram/light rail in this southern London suburb
Docklands Light Railway An automated rail line connecting with new development in the London Docklands area.

London Transport Museum

This great museum depicting London's transport history including buses, trams and the underground.

The Globe Theatre

A re-creation of Shakespeare's famous theatre, near its original site on the south side of the Thames.
