TRE

This commuter rail line started out very slow when it opened in 1996. It just connected Irving with Dallas. In September 2000 the line was extended to Richland Hills with a stop near the large Dallas Fort Worth Airport. In 2002 the line was extended again to its new terminal in downtown Fort Worth. The line uses  the new standard commuter rail coaches modeled after the Toronto GO cars.
