Los Angeles Transit
Subway

LA Subway

The subway may never see it original goals, but still provides a vital link in this region of the automobile. The stations, particularly on the newer North Hollywood extension are wonderful. Many have great artistic designs. The Subway is becoming a tourist attraction of it own.

There are 2 lines. The Red Line starts at North Hollywood, joins the Purple line at Vermont for the run to Union Station. The Purple line starts at Wilshire/Western and runs to Union Station.

There are serious talk of extending the Wilshire branch towards Westwood or Santa Monica

It is a fun ride!
